Michaelmas Chambers was set up by several Practitioners with considerable legal experience from various backgrounds holding current practice license from several International jurisdictions.

The firm consists of partners who have International practice experience with dual citizenship from the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Nigeria. We provide first class service in our areas of our practice and operate a niche boutique law firm with an International outlook as some of our partners are also regulated in foreign jurisdictions. We have a good support staff complements of highly experienced individuals; the firm operates as a single, integrated practice enabling the seamless delivery of legal and business advisory services to our clients.�

LEGAL EXPERIENCE

The firm also has a vast experience of providing legal advisory services in Oil and Gas, Power and Non-Profit Organizations. We recently advised a charity that was engaged in Youth work in Lokoja, Kogi State. We have advised the following:

  1. In 2014, we advised the Advocate for Societal and Intellectual Development (ASID), a non- profit organization aimed at sensitizing youths on their Legal, Political and Socio-economic rights in the contemporary Nigerian society. ASID honoured us with an Award for Excellence and outstanding leadership role in the area of Youth Development.
  2. We acted as lead consultants to the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) in the privitasition of Nigerian Airways. It was a multi-million dollar deal.
  3. We recently acted as transaction advisers to Treveri Consortium. The Consortium (made up of Russian, American and Nigerian investors who put in a bid for the Geregu Power Plant.
  4. We are currently working with a couple of international firms, namely: Clyde & Co. Solicitors in the United Kingdom on the Dana Airline disaster, King & Spalding international law firm on an ongoing oil spillage in the south-south region of Nigeria.
  5. We also have Partners who are members of Chambers, Great James Street Chambers in London, United Kingdom.
  6. We also have offices in Lagos and Port-Harcourt with Associates present there.
