Jide is a British/Nigerian citizen who was called to the English Bar at the Inner Temple in 1994 and admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2013. He obtained his LLB Honours in Law at the University of East London 1992. He started his career at the English Bar training at Tooks Chambers (chambers of Michael Mansfield QC) where he did his first six months pupillage before proceeding to Cloisters, one Pump Court (David Turner-Samuels QC) for his second six months training.

He is a versatile and exceptionally gifted advocate who originally established himself at the English Bar as a specialist in very serious criminal cases, undertaking a variety of cases involving Mortgage Fraud, Money Laundering offences, Confiscation, Murder, and Rape. He appeared as a leading junior counsel in the Crown Court in a number of these cases. He also receives instructions in Employment Law cases i.e. Unfair Dismissal and Racial Discrimination, Immigration and the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT).

Upon his call to Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, he was elevated to the position of Partner at the Firm that is one of the leading firms in Abuja that provides a wide range of services ranging from domestic Nigeria law to international legal services and transactions: Commercial and Financial Transactions, Corporate Legal Services, Capital Market Operations, Privatisation, Telecommunications, Maritime Law, Constitutional Law, Oil & Gas and Litigation. Jide's current area of particular interest is the devastating impact on the environment of oil spillage by Multi-national companies in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. He has widely researched this issue and is prepared to litigate on behalf of those who have been most affected and disenfranchised by this modern phenomenon.

Jide is qualified to conduct cases under the public access provisions of the Bar Council in England and Wales.
